Amy, this topic was on creating a slideshow. A movie DVD is a different animal. That's totally going on how much time those videos are using and how much will fit on a DVD. I am by far an expert on this but I did try and make one.This is how I did it with success even though it took some time. Start from NXT8 Home screen and choose Create Slideshow. When it opens hit the + sign and add your pics,either by file or by folder.Once added make sure and select All so that all pics have check marks. Next hit Create below the pics.It'll do it's thing and get things ready. When that finishes hit Export at bottom of box. When it finishes choose Open in Videowave. VideoWave will open with your Project loaded.Make any adjustments from Left pane you choose. When you're done click on Prepare for Authoring above the video window(little symbol that says DVD). Choose your options in next window. If you choose DVD make sure you have NTSC or PAL correctly selected. Once The .dmsm file is created and videowave finishes,close it and open MyDVD. Add your .dmsm file that was created,make any option adjustments you choose and then hit Burn. You should end up with a viewable DVD of your slideshow. I was able to add 440 jpegs to my project.I burned 2 different discs,1 DVD and 1 AVCHD format.Both played back in my pc. I know this was long but it's how I was successful. I can tell you that using a separate pre-amp should work. I've done it before with a Harmon Kardon pre-amp and old Thorens turntable. Sorry my idea didn't work.I would have thought that it would considering the above. Couple of things. 1) Make sure of this Example of a connection with an audio component. Connect a CD player using a digital coaxial cable or analog audio cable. You can connect a turntable that has an MM-type cartridge to the PHONO jack. 0If the turntable has a built-in audio equalizer, connect it to an AUDIO IN jack other than the PHONO jack. Also, if the turntable uses an MC type cartridge, install an audio equalizer compatible with the MC type cartridge between the unit and the turntable, then connect to any AUDIO IN jack other than the PHONO jack. 2) Looking at the manual more those RCA outs are Line level so they would need some kind of amplification at the other end (power amplifier) to really be heard. Could just be the level coming out isn't enough to drive the device.Be like trying to listen to headphones straight from line level( without amplification).Connect stereo receiver to Video Capture USB

This is a wild shot but looking at the manual,maybe. On the back of the receiver you have a Zone 2 out. Are those RCA jacks? If so you might be able to hook the devices In to that out and get a signal.You will have to turn on Zone 2 on the Receiver. The outs look like RCA's in the picture but it's hard to tell.If those outs are wire terminals then never mind.Installatie NXT 8 failed, bluescreen

If you still show NXT7 as being installed,uninstall it first manually.Once you've done that,if you can,try installing NXT8 again. Try using Revo on a moderate setting to uninstall NXT7.Use the freeware versionCreator NXT 8 is out

I was having this issue with NXT 7. While in the midst of trying to get supports help they sent me these instructions.I didn't use them since I'm on PC but I saved the email. I don't know if they'll work for you but it may be worth the try. Sorry for the lengthy post.Good luck. 'I apologize for your Inconvenience. Please follow the below steps to resolve the issue. “You do not appear to be a registered user. Please re-install the application or call customer support with error code 1011” this problem is due to a corruption or the absence of the file that holds the user registration information, aptly named'userData.json'. A “JSON” file stands for JavaScript Object Notation, and is a standard-format text file. Toast 18 stores a user’s registration information as a JSON file. The userData.json file is located in this folder path: ~/Library/Preferences/Corel/Toast/18.0 Note: The tilde (~) character simply indicates that this folder path is hidden. Please follow the below troubleshooting Procedure: The first thing to do is to check if you have the folder path given above, and if the userData.json file exists. Since the folder path is hidden, you will not be able to access it using the normal navigation method. So, in order to access it, do the following: 1. Click on the Go menu on the menu bar. 2. Select 'Go to Folder..' 3. Type in '~/Library/Preferences/Corel/Toast/18.0'and click Go. 4. If you get a message stating “The folder can’t be found”, that means the folder path does not exist. And, yes, the “userData.json” file does not exist in this case. Note: In some cases, although the folder path does not exist, it will still open the Preferences folder, since this is the last folder in the directory path that does exist; and /Library and /Preferences are both system folders. 5. If the Preferences folder did not open, type in'~/Library/Preferences' (without the quotes) instead and click Go. 6. Under Preferences, you will be creating the sub-folder path /Corel/Toast/18.0. In either case, the 'userData.json' file will be absent. As you may have assumed, the reason the JSON file does not exist is because the required folder that should hold it does not exist. What needs to be done, then, is to force the Toast 18 installer to create the userData.json file by manually creating the path: ~/Library/Preferences/Corel/Toast/18.0. Manually create the Corel folder path: 1. So, under the Preferences folder, press Shift+Command+N to create a new folder; 2. Rename the new folder to 'Corel'; 3. That's what I said. If that image is of an audio CD then burning it to a DVD is not going to work.The format will be of a CD not a DVD. If you burn that image to a CD instead of a DVD I bet it will play.ISO Burn Issue

How was the music made into an ISO to start with? If that image is of an Audio CD then it won't work burning it to a DVD. Once the image is burned to the DVD can you look at the contents with File Explorer in Windows? If so what kind of extensions are on the files you can see?Cannot burn a music disc project to CD-R with WAV files

I didn't say yours was old just that we had different versions. I take it you have the Roxio program disc.If so the first thing to try is to insert the disc and when the box pops up asking what you want to do click Repair. Let it do it's thing and see how it responds afterwards.If that doesn't work then we'll think some more on this.
